I have the same problems when I installed VB on my laptop. The problem is the same if I output to an external dac or use the headphone jack on the computer. I have tried using the VB Control Panel to change sample rate, max latency, etc, without luck, and have likewise played around with the default format for VB input/output on the Sound Control Panel. This leads me to believe the problem is VB rather than the engine.
